Purchase your own license and have the host install it for you. Do the same with a "one click" style plug-in that allows you to easily add WordPress and hundreds of other scripts.

Have never been a fan of cPanel. Don't use it just because that's what you have been using for the past 10 years, take this as an opportunity to shop around and find a control panel that you like.

We use Direct Admin and Softaculous as a default.
