Offer to work for free?

Since you're doing marketing, scope them out first online and have a plan mapped out you can sell them on. When you call ask to speak to the non profits administrator.

Treat the non profit like your best paying customer DO NOT treat them like a charity case.
Some good advice from Bladewire. I would add the following :

Look for a non profit that generally has a good reputation within the community, and
relationships with the businesses you are trying to target. With some non profits, you can work on a % where you share in the money you bring in from your efforts. More important than this, sign with them an NDA, that prohibits them from disclosing to anyone that you worked for free or ______________.

Good luck!
