Consider naming the party, if it is scheduled for December, without using the word "holiday." ?Holiday? connotes religious tradition and may not apply to all employees. For educational institutions, a December gathering may instead be called an ?end of semester? party. For a business office, an ?end of (fiscal) year? party may be more appropriate.

Oh shut up!

I love Christmas and everwhere I go here in California is Merry Christmas Australia was different, Christmas is in the middle of summer there but when I went to visit Hong Kong in December was total Christmas everywhere, including on the plane, very cool.

You must be really isolated in the woods of Tenessee and believe everything you read about the attack on Christmas so ridiculous
