Ideally the best time is November 1st for emotional reasons so less women go nuts. If you end the relationship on 11/1 then you don't have to bring her around your family or worse spend a day with her family. You also get to save on all of the presents to her and her family. And of course saving money on Valentines Day is always painful if you are not really into the relationship. March is a good month to be getting back into the the scene. Rinse repeat.
