I don't know about his math but I gave up running entirely and walk about 5-10 miles/day and I've noticed a huge difference in my body... and it's not like work with running where some days I just dread going out... maybe I'm just getting old

I don't think I'll ever go back to running again now that I have discovered walking -- you meet more people, you can read the newspaper, come up with ideas... you can kill 4+ birds with one stone without wasting time -- transportation, exercise, peace of mind, social life... If I had a 9-5 job I'd probably be one of those "weekend warriors"
