Reminds me of the Seattle and Vancouver based dvd burning people. On this board I've actually read some idiots saying copyrights do not apply to Japan. Fortunately that is not true.
We've also been educating our studio network about the pros of filing DMCAs and actually have teamed them up with western counterparts to take chronic uploaders to court in the west.
I can see studios ramping up their efforts as the Tokyo Met puts more pressure on companies to come into compliance on different matters. "An apple for the teacher helps to keep the doctor away." Or should I say the coroner.
Sad news about AMP. Maybe they should do what some of the Russian pirate JAV sites did and take a loss and make a deal with the content owners.
