Unless he has the means to shoot some seriously fantastic in demand content, or has some brilliant idea 1000 other webmasters are not trying to copy, his ass is going to have to FIGHT to keep his members.. He will be spending money on:
Hosting
Plugins (Free Plugins Usually dont cut it)
Advertising
Tour/Gallery design costs (if he does not do it himself)
Just to keep some surfer happy enough to make them hold out from hitting cancel for one month..
He has Programming the backend to worry about.. (if he wants to do anything top notch)
He also better have a secure server and know a thing or two about keeping password traders and rooters out..
Then he has to figure out how to get people to promote his shit..
only 1/4 of the people you get to sign up are actually going to send you traffic.. most people are full of shit when they say they'll send you traffic..
You have to convince people your shit is not like the rest, and you have to offer them something else that they cant get from the program they are already at..
You have to come up with a serious plan, and have the funds to stay afloat until you can stand on your own feet..
Theres also so many other variables that I wont go into.. Thats for him to learn and me to keep to myself cuz its in my best interests..
You act like I dont know what the fuck I'm talking about.. I work with programs every day and hear the inside headaches that happen.. Its my job to build shit that converts, and helps to retain...
