Whether you agree or disagree with gun ownership, I think the reality is that guns aren't going away in America even if they were made illegal.

A better question to focus on is why so many people are able to bring themselves to murder someone else. Murder rates are very high in the US, and it takes a certain mentality to kill someone.

People keep dwelling on guns as the problem, but even if guns didn't exist, people would still kill eachother in America. I think there should be more focus on society, psychology, and environment as the causes of the high murder rates.
