You can go to a multitude of gun shows and buy guns without any background check or anything. Gun stores are the only ones who require any sort of background check and shit. And thats only been recent really.
Every gun I own was bought from a gun show and I was never even asked for my id. Unless the dealer was from an actual dealership, they would ask for shit. But fuck waiting 7 days, I want my gun right now god damnit.
My dad is a hardcore collector of Mauser, he has to have a license because they are curio and relic. He has a little over 100 military grade mauser rifles. Private citizens like that give the government the creeps. Im rambling.

Some dude here collects WW2 rifles, he's got a ton of M1s on his wall, none have been fired since the fucking war and the government is threatening to take them away because he won't register them (There's a bullshit gun registry up here now, it's absolute garbage). He's just a collector, I don't think he's planning on arming a small militia with M1s. Although it would be pretty fucking cool if he did.
