well, that is what happened in Holland when it looked like a new political party would win the election. Also for the reason that he would be bad for the environment. A left wing veggie shot him dead 10 days before the elections. Also cause other politcal leaders where demonizing him and comparing him with hitler. There are always left (and sometimes right) extremist that see this as a sign to shoot.
