The way I see it - a lot of people here are talking like VISA are censoring content. This is mistaken. VISA are not law enforcement (at least not yet). VISA can censor nothing. All they can do is decide who they want to do business with and who they do not wish to do business with.

If people want to continue running these sites they can do so (providing it's legal in their community)... it's just a little harder then it used to be without VISA. But nobody is putting them in jail or telling them they can't do it.

I think this is an important distinction because a lot of the views here seem very polarized - like it's either VISA are the thought police - or like these sites are all scum who deserve to be shot at dawn anyway so VISA are doing us a favour (yeah right).

Also given the fact we are all (or mostly) adult entertainment webmasters the latter view seems hypocritical to say the least. I can guarantee you whatever kind of site you run someone will consider it disgusting filth and that you should be prosecuted or worse for doing that. Isn't it rather sad that as adult webmasters we can't escape that kind of stupidity ourselves and think more rationally about these subjects? After all if we can't do it how can we expect anyone else (not least of all VISA) to do the same?

I guess thats my $0.02
