You could be right.
That's the thing about "email" and "posts" sometimes they're very hard to interpret what exactly is being said.
I can see where you are coming from though.
IE: he seems to be stating the "facts" of both sides of the fence.
What swayed my response - to the more defensive position - was he ended with "content text" which appears to be derogatory AND the partial link instead of a direct link to what he was quoting.
A statement like - "it's easy to see the hypocrisy" would have been more invitational to engage discussion.
What is not shown by the WayBackEngine.com links is the sequence of pages to enter the website in the beginning days.
Back then when Explorer 3.0 was being upgraded to 4.0 and Netscape was the leading browser on my site - you had to answer a series of questions to enter.
Are you sensitive to nude graphics?
What month were you born in?
What year were you born in?
What is the legal age of majority where you live? ++
Answering improperly booted you out, flagged your IP for the day and cross referenced your answers to previous answers in the membership database.
It's a very difficult domain to find the "balance" of appropriateness for. General audience websites have a problem with the nudity - and - the old school of XXX have an issue with the fact that Parents show some of the articles to their teens (minors).
IMO - it's the new generation of webmasters that will make SexEducation.com successful (at least to support itself). One of the most difficult things for an "adult" to do is to admit that their thinking has been wrong.
Dr. Jocelyn Elders was fired as the Surgeon General (World's Top Doctor) by Bill Clinton for just suggesting that masturbation be discussed in schools.
Just suggesting that it be discussed.
Here is a recent read about her ...

or just search "Dr. Jocelyn Elders" in any SE for more info.
Nike is right in that "content text" is exactly the point.
I don't say it the way she does though. Here in this thread I would just say - "masturbation is sex."
On the website the "content text" is this ...
Quote:
There are many types of clitoris-glans stimulations.
Masturbation
Mutual Masturbation
Male Receiving Oral Sex ( Fellatio )
Female Receiving Oral Sex ( Cunnilingus )
Intercourse ( Coitus ), and others.
If the sexual position or activity does not stimulate the
clitoris-glans - orgasm will not result regardless of gender.

This is a more politically correct way of saying the same thing and lets the person make up their own mind.
Nike's "content text".
He is right. It is very very important.
