If you're doing it right, you can get away with 2 or 3 days a week. Just focus on getting stronger in the big lifts (Squat, Deadlift, Bench Press). As you get stronger, you will look better. Don't over complicate it.
Throw in some 15 minute high intensity cardio sessions (Jump rope, burpees, sprinting etc).
It's really as simple as that.
Of course, you can't out-train a bad diet -- so your eating has to be on point.
