Number (4) is the most crucial because it's the best education most people will get and it's the only way you can learn about the country you live in. Well it also applies to traveling to other countries and learning about other cultures. Way too many GFY people, especially from the USA, know less about their home country than I do (and I've usually spent less time in their home country than they have).
It's also probably the best I advice I can offer to GFY people because in doing so, you will discover a lot about yourself and about what exactly you like and want from life. However, you also learn about what life has to offer because you are basically seeing a wider selection of options.
