Could it be that God has nothing to do with that and that it has everything to do with personal change? Of course everything changes if you decide for yourself to change (change perspective; change behavoir towards other people, etc). Put on a burka for example and find out how your world around you will change...

The question "why" is not relevant. It is an infantile human concept. People should not ask themselfs "why are we here" but start asking themselfs why they ask themself "why are we here". The big empty meaningless of live is, for some people, a reason to search for something to belief in and live accordingly. For others it is the biggest gift of life... they give meaning to life themselfs...
