This is just so fucking retarded I had to post it here. Someone said on another forum they're gonna get revenge on Globill by telling all their customers to charge back their memberships.

Yeah, smart move. Way to teach people how to get porn for free.

Right after GloBill's announcement to get out of business together with their nice add-ons like "do NOT attempt to cash any checks" and "do not phone, fax or email" I did the following:

1) Set up a signup page for an extra account with a substantial discount (within a protected directory)

2) Created a page explaining members that Globill went belly up and any transaction after
07/21 shouldn't have been charged to their credit card at all. Also explaining them the difference between a legitimate charge back and an illegitimate one (You wouldn't believe how many credit card holders don't know they have the "right" to request a charge back; and a few bastards know that quite too well...). I ask them to request charge backs for any GloBill transactions as the cc companies would have to accept them as well founded.
Of course there is a link to the protected directory with the "special sign up" page.

3) Deleted the htpassword file for GloBill members an made the directory where this file resided write protected so GloBill can't put the file up again.

4) Modified my htaccess file so that any users coming from GloBill.com are redirected to this "GloBill - Extra" page


For me all the money GloBill cashed thru June and July is lost anyway. And so are rebills.
Why not let them bleed?

And if I shouldn't get some checks from EGS soon it will be little work to extend this configuration...
