I was more or less speaking from the "bubble" of the adult industry. I was actually in a small retail store a couple of weeks ago and a lady was trying to do a return on Visa for a very small item and I overheard the owner explaining to her that he wanted to do the return in cash rather than getting charged the Visa return fees, which were more than the item she had purchased in the first place. I'm not sure what Visa is thinking. They are shooting themselves in the foot. Maybe they never anticipated that people would drop them like they are, that we would all just comply and take their bullying. Hopefully they will get their shit together like Vicki suggested.
In some cases though, it's not the dishonest webmaster practices that are the reason for the chargeback but dishonest surfers who have discovered the loop hole in the system, not even a stolen card. I've had some guys sign up, rape me of my content, then charge back. There should be a way that we can blackball those customers from ever signing up to a site again. I can prove from my logs how much time they spent on my site. They new what they were signing up for, they liked my content, they stole it all, but yet charged back. These are the people who don't deserve to ever use a Visa again.
