Yes, Dagestan is a permanent war zone like Gaza Strip in Israel, but much bigger (just watch those counter-terror youtube videos). Everything that happens there is not because they want Dagexit (most of citizens want to live in Russia). That's a very poor region with an outstanding unemployment rate. Now put it together with their religion and you'll get the best condition for radical Islam.

When Chechens have committed their last terrorist attack in Russia? The radicals have eloped to the EU and the USA long time ago. The rest ones are don't want to be independent. If you don't know, Chechnya is the only region where Putin has got almost 99% of votes, while he has the lowest support... in Moscow.
