The fact is that the more sophisticated argument was to remain, the loud mouth bar talk won the argument as it often does in referendum.
Now you have a political vacuum as Cameron walks away suggesting that the leave campaign can sort out the mess. Even the leave campaign leaders are stating that their claims were bullshit and worried that it maybe wasn't such a good idea after all.

I have no doubt getting out of the EU will cause problems, lower the value of the pound, hit trade and lower the income of the top 10%.
The reason so many voted to leave is they have suffered badly for the last 15 years and face more suffering if the UK stays in. Or are you even going to deny that?
