Not so long ago Russia was a third world shithole... they are not a shithole anymore...
Although the economy is not doing so great at the moment... the differences between today and 20 years ago are huge.

It is clear that Russia allready made his first steps on world stage participating in geo-politics. They started flying over other's territories; They took The Krim; and made a change in Syria by simply ignoring the rest of the world. They all watched and didn't do anything. It's not a serious threat today... but Europeans should be alarmed enough to look around in todays world and try to understand what's happening and where they are standing...

America is still a world power but it's not the World power anymore that it was 25 years ago. It's power slowly crumbled off and with latest debacles even more: their middle east
actions. America is more and more becoming politically introvert... self centered. They are on their way to stop caring about Europe's savety... Well... not that they don't care... more that don't want to pay and fight for that anymore.

After WW2 America militarized and became the dominant force in the world exporting their ideas about open economies etc and acting like Europe's guard-dog. Europe de-militarized and focussed on creating their social welfare-states instead.

With all respect... but the seperate small uncoordinated European armies are a joke... they can't do shit on world stage. They can't make a difference in Geo-politics and they CAN'T protect themselfs!

China is also allready stepping up the world stage participating in GEO-politics... they are building an army and fleet and allready started to claim certain territories around them...
They are expanding too...

What is Europe doing in 2016? The seperate coutries are re-fueling their pathetic nationalism; wanting to be small and meaningless again; making themselfs an easy prey for a couple of non-ignorable potential powerhouses that allready showed their interest and ambitions in participating in Geo-politics.

If America turns it's back on Europe... Russia will slowly start to prod in Europe's belly...
Slowly starting to gain more influence.... there really isn't much Europe could do... Things could change faster then one might think...

Now Europeans complain and cry about being governed by un-elected European Bureaucrats

Our children will complain and cry about being governed by non-elected Russian Autocrats

The people of Europe lack vision... They lack the ability to look ahead 20 years...
They fail to understand the world they are living in and the potential risks that suround them.

A whole European generation doesn't know what war is; doesn't know what poverty is.
They all have this feeling that their wealth is granted to them by the rest of the world.
They all think that their position and wealth are eternal realities.

Nothing lasts forever...
