fuck me, can't believe I have a brain barrier about this
I actually have been scammed. by a peer with whom I used to work, she participated in some fraud with a 'client' and got me for just under $300 about 6 months ago
I went to bed for a day I was so upset, never expected to be in a confrontational situation with a peer. It was actually a pretty difficult experience for me. not the money but the rest of it
In the long run though she taught me a lot and probably prevented a lot of further fraud down the road, as the experience taught me what to look for. for that consider 3 bills a pretty inexpensive lesson. She was an idiot as well, a bunch of my own dudes loved her and spent on her pretty regularly, when I kicked her off and told em why she lost far more that she gained.
didn't change me or my approach to peeps, just taught me what to look for in both client and cammer behavior
but yeah, lol I guess it's good thing I had forgotten about that incident. at the time it was...not fun
