An elastic is placed on the tail at birth, preventing the blood from flowing into it ... and in a few days time it just dries up and falls off on it's own ... the puppy does not suffer at all (BTW ... this is the EXACT same method the hospital used to dock your umbillical chord ... unless you were HATCHED ???)
And the ears are cropped at about 7 weeks, when the dog is strong enough to handle ANESTHESIA ....
Credible purebred breeders love the dogs more than most adoptive families do unfortunately ... the LAST thing we want to do is cause the dog pain and suffering ...

I went to school with a few anteaters, and personally I am damn glad my parents chopped that thing off ... 2 out of 3 girls are turned off by foreskins too ... true stat !!
and you know what ??? I am not the least bit traumatized by having my foreskin cut off .... I don't think my parents were cruel
