The Republicans need to re-invent themselves as a party - the moderate establishment goes off and forms a new party and leaves the Tea Party/Evangelicals to themselves. There's no way the moderates can kick out the far right, so they best move on. It's crazy how just 2 parties have existed for over 2 centuries - the Founding Fathers didn't even envision a party system but it didn't take long for them to form.
I really don't want Hillary Clinton to win but I think Trump has scared off a huge number of independents and Democrats who would vote Republican if the candidate appealed to them more than Clinton.

Until Americans are prepared to vote for outsiders like Sanders in big numbers. There's no chance of change.
