I have other interests on the mainstream and casino side of things, but if I was all porn I wouldn't be freaking out just yet. Adult is a huge business online, and a huge reason why the internet was built so fast. It's not going anywhere, too many other companies rely on us, even if they don't like to admit it. Do you really think everyone would be shelling out for broadband if dad wasn't a member of quiet's site and downloading videos every night? Do you think companies like real player would be where they are today? What about Level3, Verio and those companies, what % of the bandwidth they sell is burned by porn movies? Sure sites like yahoo suck the most bandwidth, but for every one of them there's 2000 TGP's and 10 million galleries.
Even if visa and MC shut us off, who fucking cares? Not me, I know we can and will live without them, and I'm starting to think we'll be better off. There are other ways of paying, my casinos don't rely on cc's at all, I can turn them off as an option and be making the exact same amount of money, I've been testing. They're the last option on my banking pages, because giving them business is starting to make me more and more sick every day. We should all stop taking visa and master card for 6 months, and see how fast their rules change. They'd have reps contacting the big companies trying to get our business back in no time, making all kinds of changes and kissing our asses. If we were smart the casino and adult industries would put our resources together and develop our own international payment system, even prefunded cards or something that you can buy all over the place like phone cards. Too bad everyone in the two industries hates the other, besides me.
