If you were going to start a new community for your website or group, would you purchase vBUlletin or other forum software, or just go to Twitter or Facebook?

We have a couple of forums but considering the maintenance, hosting and licensing etc, Twitter and Facebook just looks alot more interesting on so many levels.

Your thoughts?
