exactly what i was thinking.

i grew up in one of the world's largest fruit growing regions, a short bike ride to farm after farm of nothing but fruit. we'd sit there all day long eating til we'd puke, but the fruit was so inferior to what it is today, a cherry was half the size of today's and even with the pesticides farmers were using in the 70's, there were still lots of worms and bruises.
