On the other hand, some "poor" Serb can do it just easily. So where the first world is? Where you earn $4000 and your government and banks/corporations take most of that money (taxes, insurances, loans etc). Or where you earn only $300 but you keep it all and can afford a good food (there is no obesity problem in Serbia) and quality medicine (life expectancy in Serbia and the States is almost the same).
