I understand how abortion is a fundamental necessity for progress within any given society (Freakonomics -- great book), but then you have the moral issue of taking a life.
Some late term abortions are done months before the baby is to be born. If the baby is aborted inside the mother at 6 months, pro-choice people are fine with that. But if a doctor walked up to a newborn at 9 months and slits its throat after delivery, then he's a cold blooded murderer. I've always been on the fence in regards to abortion. I know it's a necessary evil, but on the other side of the coin, I can't agree with taking a life. My daughter was supposed to be aborted. I look at her every day and think this magical little princess almost never was. And that breaks my heart.

The pro life movement believes that life begins at conception. I disagree with this. Life begins with the first breath.
