For the most part, those who put a higher value on safety and security of their nation were killed. Those who for the most part want to sit around and sip coffee in sidewalk cafes as they plan their next labor strike to cripple the nation out of "fairness" were not killed.

The problem is the EU doesn't have any intention of making life better for anyone but, the weaker Nations, big business and bureaucrats. This long term will see its downfall. Be it the UK voting Out in June or another country down the line.
When the UK gets its concessions, Germans, French, Dutch will be the next to demand a say. On whether they have a Common Market or Federal Europe.
