It wasn't painful for me to read, it was just very vanilla. It wasn't fun or inspiring. Reads more like an instruction manual, or a criminal report than a fun story. Try using colorful adjectives and more similes and/or metaphors. If you could imagine having a story read by one of those monotone voice digitizers, that's how it sounded in my head while I was reading it. Maybe that's what Baddog meant. Or maybe he was just half trolling...he is after all, the co-GFY Award Winning Troll.
P.S. Try adding some colors, images, something to your blog. Make it fun, exciting. Do some research on the psychology of colors.
