Yes, from my own personal experience I think you had what I call "Rock Star Syndrome" and I am not singling you out because many of your peers were similarly afflicted.
The syndrome occurs when someone makes a lot of money at the right place and the right time but thinks it is going to last forever, like a band that has a one hit wonder, and treats everyone like their shit don't stink therefore everyone else is shit and deserves to be shat on, but unable to follow it up with anything catchy ends up being the equivalent of a stale turd everyone eventually realizes was just shitty in the first place.
