The one thing that would prevent me from agreeing is something I think that is mostly overlooked when thinking about Paul and GFY...
Its that he was given his very own forum on GFY and what did he do with it? Spent every post arguing with DamianJ... Before actually doing it so much, he ended up getting banned from GFY... MADNESS...
Stop and think for a moment. Your OWN forum (for FREE) on the largest webmaster site on the internet and you have a product to sell to noobs and old timers alike. An unbelievably bad wasted opportunity. Think how much it costs for just a banner on here. Think how much it costs to skin the site for just a week? Huge money - But he gets his own forum, 'endorsed' by GFY simply by its existence, for free as a place to promote and sell his products in perpetuity... And what does he do with it?
He has said that he missed the boat himself when it came to launching a paysite in the early days online. Kinda understandable and forgivable as he concentrated on what he knew - Selling his work to (now) outdated concepts ie magazines... Fair enough.
Nut to miss out again on the opportunities his own forum as part of GFY afforded him? Unforgivable.
The above isn't an out and out attack on Paul, however the award is for the GFY hall of fame - Meaning based upon your presence and what your presence has achieved on GFY, as a total of a whole - The sum of its parts and the missed forum opportunity sours all the other stuff.
Do I have a right to be upset at his choices? No, of course not. Neither do I have the right to criticise him - He can and does do what he wants. Its just my personal opinion and nothing more
I just down feel that with that black mark on his record he qualifies for 'Hall of Fame'
