It isn't a special site or anything worth a hoot, but traffic is traffic. I could see pay sites even before you get to sign up part needing an SSL. A measly tube site? Same here, we've read about this so we decided to test it and we switched a couple of domains from http to https and they definitely lost a lot of rankings in google..
Kinda looks like google is treating them like new sites. Hoping rankings will be restored but for now we say f*ck switching to https
