Exactly. How much of what Obama promised was he allowed to put through?
An owner of a company only has to decide what he needs to do and then does it, the size of the company and the money he can afford. Dictates the outcome.
A President or Prime Minister has politicians to deal with, they have other interests. In the UK it could be a job after they get turfed out, in the US it's the big money that gets them elected.
They both have to go to the people once every 4 or 5 years. The people behind the power they have to please every day.
So I ask, can he put through any of his promises without asking anyone to ratify them?
