All Windows PCs I have ever seen and all of the ones used in our call center, need upgrades and replacement every few years at best.

Apple hardware and OS is designed to work together with strict quality standards. Not only that, but Apple support, whether in the phone or at the Apple Store is second to none. It is worth a few extra bucks IMO.

In about i guess 20 years of using PC's i have never had to resort to call someone for support and I have never had to go back to a store. So I rather buy a ?500 laptop and pocket the other ?700.

?700 extra for every time you buy a new one, as the cost to call support or get support at a store nobody needs. Sounds like a great deal
