Maybe because you are useless here? When my employer has told me to relocate to NYC, I've just quit my work in his company. That was about 15 years ago
P.S. I do really love my city. It's the most amazing one among everything I have seen anywhere else.
You may believe me or not, but I've was everywhere. I've been to Western Europe, I've been to Asia, I've been to almost anywhere in the USA, but I have never seen such a beautiful city like Moscow.
