SCO beautifully engineered this whole thing by releasing their source code, but with very confusing terms as to what it could be used for.
Luckily for them it did end up in Linux, now they will make bank if the LUG can't get the SCO source code the fuck out of there.
Unfortunately for Linux, its going to be hard to replace patented System V technologies, because if they had to write it from scratch it might end up looking a lot like SCO's. You can't re-invent the wheel.
Whoever invented copy-and-paste has made a lot of IP lawyers mega-bucks!
