The answer is a resounding "yes".

I know someone that left a church after they tried to convince her to stay with her now ex-husband, a cop, after he held a gun to her head in front of their 3 year old and threatened to kill her. While it might not be sexual abuse in her case, the Christian religion, for better oftentimes but also for worse sometimes, practices forgiveness and forgiveness. And that is not necessarily a bad thing.

The problem is when the Church wants to piously point at people like us in porn while hiding their own sexual misconducts, affairs, child abuse, etc. And that is what makes the Donny's, the Stewarts, etc. so vile. It is not their being Christian; it is the fact that they use their religion to hide behind and prey on innocent victims and act so high and mighty all the while.
