I follow european cycling pretty closely.. especially the spring classics such as Paris Roubaix, but OLN always reruns their coverage later in the day so there is no need to get up.
I have to say that OLN is excellent when it comes to cycling coverage, especially during the tour. Their live broadcast & commentary by Phil & Paul is better than most of the European coverage I used to watch when I lived there.
As for the Tourmalet, unless one of the trio is hurting and looks vulnerable, Lance, Jan, and Vino won't let each other get away that early. There will probably be an attack by lesser riders (Iban Mayo, Simoni etc), and it seems likely to me that Lance will want to let them go. Vino and Jan are so close that the time bonus alone for first or second place could put one of them into yellow, so I suspect, unless he feels strong enough to attack and take first himself, that he will not want to be in the leading group across the line.
As we've seen though, what Lance wants is not always what Lance gets. So who knows?
Anything could happen, but its quite possible the yellow jersey will change hands today. I think a likely scenario is Vinokourov taking yellow today, then losing it to either Jan or Lance in the TT next saturday.
