I saw him at the Isle of Wight 1970. I was on the hill at the side of the stadium and tripping on LSD. When he played Star Spangled Banner it was on of the things I will never forget. Sadly he died a few months later.

Agreed 101% before you scream about anyone else watch this DVD and the new Led Zepplin one.

Those days were strange, we were totally spoilt for music. The list of bands we had are a whos who of rock legends. It started in around 1963/4 and was over within 10 years. By 1973 the money men had moved in and were producing bands they could sell.

We would go out at the weekend and see bands like The Who, Yardbirds, Kinks, Rolling Stones as if it was normal and would just carry on.

Seeing the Stones Sunday So not completely finished.
