I thought the reason adult processing was so expensive was because of the chargebacks from people disputing recurring charges. Since pay per download sites do one-off payments I figured it would be cheaper since the risk isn't the same. I'm looking for options closer to 5% per tx.

"Cheaper" isn't 'better'...and if you expect affiliates and a good affiliate program, doing w/ a 'not so well known' billing company, will cost you in the end.
