I was what you cool kids in the (apparently great, according to Rochard) US of A call a republican back when I was a dumb 16 - 25 year old with fuck all life experience but a self-important black-or-white ideaology, though soon realised that politics is a sham much like religion, designed to keep the idiots infighting, and to keep them under control. Seems most here are the same, or at least jaded if not outright enraged by the whole farce, and can at least see things objectively - unless they are democrats.
Any ideas why they are such a funny old bunch?

Seriously, you seem like a good guy. Time for me to head out for lunch. Stressful because I'm going to Pastis, a restaurant which until this morning had been one of my favorite lunch spots in the city largely because of their excellent steak sandwich. Can't get that anymore because apparently I'm now a vegetarian. Maybe I'll go with the moules frites. We'll see. It seems I've become so dumb to the point where I don't even know anything anymore and I'm worried that I might not even be able to read the menu.
