One of the greatest tv series political rants ever. But let's be clear, it's not Jeff Daniels declaring his personal views here, it's a clip from The Newsroom, it's his character speaking lines that were arguably or inarguably well-written, but written by others.
The stats and facts he's spewing are reportedly correct, btw. His delivery was sublime. He closes with a message of hope but all a lot of people will focus on is "America isn't the greatest country".
