I've lived on military bases my entire life, from Korea, California, Tampa, and Texas and they have probably the strictest no gun laws. If you're not an MP (Army) or SP (Navy and Air Force) then you are NOT carrying a firearm while on base. If you're not in a war zone, then you can't carry. Not even if you're General fucking Patton, you still ain't strapped. AND, because there tends to be less crime on military bases, their police forces are bare bones and usually spread out. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know when they'll be patrolling the flight line, dependent housing, etc.
