Ive been on Atkins for about 14 days now and Ive lost about 17 lbs. Remember to drink a lot of water though cuz this protein-intensive diet may cause severe kidney/renal problems. I've been satisfied with the results plus I accompany it with a 1 hour workout daily -- 30 mins cardio 30 mins weights.

Well, to each his own, I suppose. Atkins is definately the diet for me. Of course, I'd rather have a nice, juicy ribeye cooked to a pink medium over a high flame to crisp up the fat than a stale old pieve of bread or a potato anyday, so maybe that's why I love Atkins so much.

There is a product out now (pills) called Phase2 that block the absorption of carbohydrates and allow you to OCCASIONALLY indulge in pasta or bread or something (starch but NOT sugar) while on the Atkins diet. It only blocks 80-90% of the starch in one meal, though. But for some people it's the one thing that helps them stay on Atkins... a one or twice a week indulgence.
