You don't seem to get it.. Cats and Dogs are intelligent creatures with distinct personalities. I've yet to see a cockroach with that. And the reason people kill insects like flies and cockroaches is because these vermin carry DISEASE. Mice (wild ones) can also carry serious illnesses such as hantavirus.
As far as moose, some people hunt them for food, they aren't killed as often though.
Besides, it's one thing when an animal is raised for meat or is not domesticated and trusting of humans.. In the wild, prey animals would likely take such animals regardless. However, you have an innocent animal that's trained and raised all it's life to TRUST and LIKE humans, and then hurt it. It's like beating a child. Pointless, cruel, and the majority of people who engage in such activities require serious help. Apparently, you do too.
