Yes, so what's happening here is that he is hoping to pick up your search traffic using a blackout technique, it's spammy and he may or may not get picked up by Google - but he probably doesn't care because the guys that do this churn and burn domains and rinse and repeat this process many times over.
But that has nothing to do with the ghost referrals you see in GA. To understand and mitigate those read this:
