to be fair. obama never had anyone to negotiate with. its well known fact the repubs decided in 09 their only strategy is to oppose anything obama did. its not fair to say he did not want to work with the other side. he did reach out early on. His healthplan was invented by mitt romney for crying out loud, supported by gingrich until the oero cookie co-opted it. there comes a point, when you talk to a wall, when you give up. so he golfs a lot today.
i never saw a repub do anything bold like drop the public option. rather, they stopped 911 healthcare bill for a petty partisan issue. your hate of obama to me is somewhat not even-handed.
