Funny because with the rules the way they are, The major banks (like Morgan Stanly and Chase) have walked away from debt of millions of dollars for each instance in bankruptcy for real estate deals that were their deals. Totaling in the multi-billions.
If it were a individual, they would want to lock them up in jail. But the banks can not only do it, they actually get a lower effective tax rate for it.

I own 4 houses free and clear... NO MORTGAGES. The locals that work at wal-mart can not provide for their families. To think that the locals gave them a tax break to locate here and our taxes went up to provide a infrastructure of water and roads to provide for them. Just so they could destroy the remaining tax base by putting all the independent biz out to dry. So the people end up paying for all the infrastructure that corporate America needs and can have a free ride to use and enjoy for their betterment. And when they do there dirty deeds overseas, it is the people who loose their blood and treasure.

Add up all the merger and acquisition that has destroyed 10% of all jobs in the past 20 years and put some extra thought to those that can not afford to retire and you can see why the job market is so bleak.

Well, I can only say that if there is no money at the bottom, enjoy staring at your gold while the rest go hungry looking for ways to steal some.

Corporations don't own their slaves now-a-days, they rent them. Just like politicians.

Corporations are people too.... haven't you herd ? They have more rights than a citizen so I guess they should re-write the declaration of independence, starting with "we the corporations"

For all those that tout personal responsibility, ask yourself where is that in the corporate world? Who do you put in jail when their neglect (willful or not) cost lives. Who is accountable for their actions then ? The double standard needs to end.
A corporate charter can not be a license to get away with anything.

Do you know how many Americans have walked away from billions of dollars of real estate debt and have it forgiven? It seems your inaccurate fairytale on what would happen if an individual did it needs a little tightning up.

And your Walmart story? Sounds like your town (all of those brilliant individuals that the rich are holding down) cut their own throats.

It's always someone else's fault. Got it.
