I remember when AWA were the best radio brand, when Kreisler was the best color TV on the market, when Sharp made the best reel to reel consumer tape decks, when Tascam made the best prosumer tape decks, TDK produced the best tape, BASF made great video tape, National Panasonic made the best portable electronics, Sony made the best Beta video recorders, JVC made the best VHS.
None of those names are big anymore.
